How we calculate it
Traditional production: PDF 3 h, HTML 1.5 h, JATS XML 2 h and EPUB 1 h per article, plus 15 minutes per format in each correction round. With an external vendor, JATS XML is costed at €2.50 per page. With Index Production: 25 minutes per article to upload the Word file, review and approve, plus 5 minutes per correction round. Time value uses the hourly cost shown.
